Sam Mehan is an Australian film producer based in Crowdy Head NSW and has worked alongside Film Industry Professionals including Darlene Johnston (Rabbit Proof Fence, From Sand to Celluloid, Stolen Generations), Gary Phillips (Candy, The Crocodile Hunter: Collision Course, Feeling Sexy), Matt Enfield (Thunderstruck, Disappearance, Farscape) and John O’Connor (Lethal Weapon 3).
Sam Mehan has worked in film for over fifteen years producing short films, documentaries, commercials and music video clips under the name Banana Jam Productions.

Memory - an Indigenous mentorship production through the Lester Bostock Scheme 7min short
Sam has worked with Indigenous Communities particularly in NSW and the Northern territory capturing Dreaming Stories, Traditional Practices and events of Cultural significance to the People. Also training Indigenous people in multimedia and mentoring in certain aspects of film.
He has worked extensively with youth including the 'Be Responsible Campaign' with the Forster Tuncurry Community Drug Action Team. Sam Mehan from Banana Jam Productions oversaw the advertisement of the production.

A Metro screen competition ' Your Shout ' with a group of Taree Youth where the theme was to devise a short film depicting youth Drinking Habits, dangers and fears which scored him early film credits.
Cinema and Television advertisements included “A Safe community for children” sponsored by 'Mission Australia' using Ian Sandercoe’s song Reign and a group of families from the Taree community.
